X-Ray and Mößbauer investigations show that under higher pressures FeCr<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>4</jats:sub> is not stoichiometric but contains Fe(III), and that corund type Cr<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O<jats:sub>3</jats:sub> as an additional phase has been formed. In the wide pressure range from 10<jats:sup>-17</jats:sup> to 10<jats:sup>-14</jats:sup> bar the contents of Fe(III) are lower than 1% of total iron, and the corund phase is negligible.</jats:p> Verteilung und Valenz der Kationen in Spinellsystemen mit Eisen und Chrom, II.
