Tissue culture microplates (96 wells) were seeded with Vero cells, infected with a virulent strain of T. gondii, and incubated for different time periods. The ELISA was performed with anti-T. gondii antibodies on the infected cells. The method was simple, rapid, and accurate, and very good correlations between the ELISA results and the percentage of T. gondii rosettes in infected cells, the number of free T. gondii in the supernatant, and the amount of T. gondii antigen in the supernatant were observed.</jats:p> Enzyme immunoassay for evaluation of Toxoplasma gondii growth in tissue culture Journal of Clinical Microbiology
