Tonelli, D. 1040-0397 1521-4109 Wiley Electrochemistry Analytical Chemistry http://dx.doi.org/10.1002/elan.201100567 <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Co/Al Layered Double Hydroxide thin films were prepared by electrodeposition on Pt electrodes previously submitted to different electrochemical pretreatments, consisting of a large number of potential cycles (Pt‐CVT) or a cathodic polarization (Pt‐CT) in a H<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>SO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub> solution. Their features and analytical performance for the determination of aniline and phenol were compared to those of the film deposited on a mechanically polished Pt electrode (Pt‐MT). The Pt‐MT and Pt‐CVT electrodes displayed comparable sensitivities and equal limits of detection for both analytes.
